Can I accept my offer without paying the Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)?

UPDATED 14 NOV 2023 | 3:06AM
If you are applying for a student visa, you must purchase an OSHC to get yourself covered for the duration of your studies in Australia as per the requirements of the Department of Home Affairs (DHA). You have two options:
  • You can organise your own OSHC: You have the option of selecting your own insurance provider. Information regarding providers approved by Curtin can be found via Health Insurance for International Students. You will be required to provide the OSHC letter/statement of account as part of your acceptance documents to Curtin.
  • You can pay Curtin to organise your OSHC on your behalf (please refer to the OSHC details in your Letter of Offer for the OSHC quote): OSHC will be purchased through Bupa, our preferred provider. You will be required to provide your OSHC payment receipt as part of your acceptance documents. Once received, the OSHC details will be quoted on your Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) for your visa application.
