Higher Degree by Research Courses
Curtin’s Higher Degree by Research (HDR) programs operate around two research terms in a calendar year:
Research Term 1: 1 January – 30 June
Research Term 2: 1 July – 31 December
You may commence your research at any point within a research term, provided the start date is agreed upon with your supervisor. However if your admission application is submitted close to the end of a term, i.e. in June or December, we recommend you apply to the following research term. This ensures a smoother transition into your research program and allows sufficient time for enrolment, orientation and supervision planning.
