Workplaces have been experiencing considerable changes, with a greater uptake of flexible working arrangements, increased automation of key tasks and the implementation of employee diversification initiatives. This has led to an increasing demand for specialist human resources roles that can help to implement more strategic and complex negotiations in the workplace.
This course, which can be taken in six months full-time or 12 months part-time study, is an excellent standalone qualification for human resources professionals who want to upskill in a short period of time and build their knowledge of workplace risks and negotiation.
You’ll learn how to examine employment relations practices, understand legal risk and safety management issues, and examine the industrial relations system in Australia.
Highlights of this course include international industrial relations, where you will look at international comparisons of industrial relations systems with a socio-economic and political focus to help improve your global employability, and industrial relations, negotiation, mediation and advocacy, which examines internal and external workplace negotiation strategies.
When you successfully complete this course, you can progress to the Master of Human Resources.
