If I don't get into my preferred course, can I start a different course and then switch to my preferred one next year?

It is possible to commence a course with the intention of switching to your preferred course. Before
If your preferred course is competitive, selection will be based on your academic performance. Specific course switching criteria can be found by searching for the course you want to change to and then checking the Admission Criteria tab.
