I am an international student with school-aged dependants. How do I arrange their schooling?

UPDATED 01 DEC 2023 | 4:48AM

In Western Australia (WA), dependants of international students may be enrolled in either approved government (public) or non-government (private) schools registered by the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).

Please refer to our Bringing your family page for more information regarding:

  • Dependant visas and obtaining a Confirmation of Placement (CoP) document for visa purposes
  • School fees
  • Enrolment process
  • School ages in Australia
  • List of schools
  • Contact details at Curtin for assistance.

STAFF INFORMATION ONLY:

T0-T2 queries: Walk student over to the brochure rack in Curtin Connect and provide the Dependant Schooling Information Sheet.   Student needs to take this information sheet home and go through in detail - as they need to be well informed before deciding to bring their school aged dependants to Australia due to cost implications.   You do NOT need to go through this info with the student.  FYI only - info includes:

  • documents required for dependant visas
  • School fees
  • enrolment process
  • school ages in Australia
  • list of schools
  • Curtin contact & step by step process

T3-T4 enquiries:   Raquel Iliano (ISSU) manages the dependant schooling portfolio for "all international students" at Curtin (not just sponsored students). Any issues / concerns / follow up on placement requests - staff to call Raquel Iliano (ISSU) on 9266 1941.

If Raquel is not available please provide email contact of schoolplacement@curtin.edu.au.
