How can I organise my Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)?

UPDATED 06 OCT 2025 | 5:35AM
If you would like Curtin to organise the Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for you, it will be purchased through our preferred provider, Medibank Private. The process is:
  1. Make an OSHC Payment.
You can make your OSHC payment at the same time when you pay the deposit of your tuition fees through Curtin E-pay. Ensure you enter the OSHC amount specified in your Curtin Offer Letter depending on whether you are purchasing OSHC for yourself or any additional dependents.
You mustn't purchase single OSHC cover for dependents coming to Australia on your student visa. You must declare these and pay for couples or family OSHC to remain compliant with OSHC policy and ensure they are covered.
  2. Provide an OSHC Payment Receipt
Curtin E-Pay will generate a payment receipt once payment is made. You need to upload this receipt as evidence of your OSHC payment in your Applicant Portal as part of the Acceptance requirement. Your OSHC details will be included on your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) for your visa application.
  3. OSHC Policy
Your Medibank OSHC policy will be processed once your OSHC payment is received and your admission to Curtin University is confirmed.
Alternatively, you may organise your own OSHC through one of our selected providers approved by Curtin (Refer to FAQs on page). You need to contact your chosen provider directly, and once you have obtained your OSHC Policy, upload the OSHC letter/statement of account to your Curtin Applicant Portal as part of your offer Acceptance Requirement.
