Understand TISC offer rounds, key dates and what to do if you don’t receive your preferred offer.
Understanding your offer timeline
Between finishing year 12, applying to university and waiting for your results, we know this time can feel quite overwhelming.
We’re here to help you understand what happens when your ATAR results are released, when offers come out and how to update your preferences if things don’t go to plan.
On this page, we’ll walk you through each step of the TISC offer timeline:
- When ATAR results are released
- TISC offer rounds – early, main and second round
- What to do if you didn’t get an offer
ATAR results release date
ATAR results release date: Sunday 20 December 2026.
Your ATAR results are used to assess whether you’re eligible for your course preferences. After results are released, TISC uses your preferences and scores to decide which offer you’ll receive during the offer rounds.
You’ll receive your WACE certificate and University Admissions Advice Letter (UAAL) by email. Make sure the email attached to your TISC account is up to date.
Didn’t get the results you were expecting?
If you didn’t get the results you were expecting, it’s important to update your course preferences on the TISC website before the main round offers deadline.
This deadline usually falls in late December, but we recommend checking the TISC website for the exact date each year.
If you’re unsure on what to do, contact our Future Student Advisors for guidance and support.
How to use TISC automatic safety net
The TISC safety net helps you save your main round offer if you wish to change your preferences and be re-assessed for a different preference in the second round.
If you update your preferences by the second round deadline, your main round offer stays valid until you receive a new one – or decide to accept it.
For more information on the TISC safety net, see main round of offers on the TISC website.
TISC offer rounds and key dates
Find out about the different offer rounds and when to change your course preferences if you change your mind or if your results weren’t quite what you had hoped.
Early offers
Early offers will be sent out from the following dates:
- Monday 5 October 2026
- Wednesday 2 December 2026
You’ll receive a TISC confirmation letter during the main offer round if:
- You’ve accepted your early offer by the lapse date.
- You’ve met all offer conditions by the main round deadline.
If these conditions aren’t met, or you’ve changed your first preference, your early offer will no longer be valid.
You may still be reassessed in the second round if you meet the entry requirements or change your preferences in time.
Main round offers
Last day to apply or change preferences:
Sunday 20 December 2026 (11:59pm AWST).
Check TISC important dates for the current year’s exact date and time.
When are main round offers sent?
Main round offers are sent by email on Thursday 24 December 2026.
What you can do:
- Accept your main round offer to secure your place. You won’t be considered in the second round.
- If you’re unsure about accepting your main round offer, the TISC safety net lets you save it while updating your preferences to be considered for a different course.
- Update your preferences before the second round deadline Wednesday 13 January 2027 (11:59pm AWST) if you want to be reassessed.
If you’ve already accepted an early offer and haven’t changed your first preference, you’ll receive confirmation during the main round once all conditions are met.
Second round offers
Last day to apply or change preferences:
Wednesday 13 January 2027 (11:59pm AWST).
Always check TISC important dates for the exact date and time.
When are second round offers sent?
Second round offers are sent by email on Wednesday 20 January 2027.
Who this round is for:
- You didn’t receive a main round offer.
- You received an offer for a lower preference and want to be reassessed.
- You received an offer for your first preference but want to change to a different course.
What you can do:
- Update your course preferences on the TISC website before the deadline to be reassessed.
- Or accept your second round offer to secure your place.
Note: A second round offer replaces your previous offer (if you received one). You can only hold one offer at a time.
