Why is the Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) premium in my offer letter different from what is listed on Medibank's website?

UPDATED 09 JUN 2026 | 8:33AM

The OSHC premium in your Curtin offer letter may differ from the premium listed on Medibank's website because it includes exclusive benefits available to eligible Curtin students.

Through Curtin's partnership with Medibank, eligible students can access additional coverage features that are not available for individual purchase or through agents.

Benefits may include:

  • Waived waiting periods for selected services
  • 24/7 Student Health and Support Line, including mental health support
  • 24/7 online doctor services
  • Additional benefits available through Medibank Comprehensive OSHC

For more information, visit the Medibank Overseas Health Cover Comprehensive webpage.

Need help?

If you have questions about your Medibank OSHC policy, contact the Medibank OSHC Student Customer Service team on 134 148 or email oshc@medibank.com.au.

A Medibank representative is available on campus at Curtin Connect (Building 102) from Monday to Thursday, 9.30 am to 2.30 pm.

Using another OSHC provider

You may choose to purchase OSHC from another approved Australian health insurer. If you do, you will need to contact your chosen provider directly to arrange your policy.

If you would like to extend or make changes to an existing OSHC policy, you will also need to contact your current insurer directly.
