Customised study program

Customised study programs provide your students with an immersive cultural experience while also building their English language and academic skills.

Programs can be customised to focus entirely on English Language learning or to enhance study in a specific discipline area. They can include excursions, field trips, workshops and guest speakers. In addition, we can tailor the content, length and schedule of your program to suit your group’s needs.

Open programs

Students undertake English language learning, joining Curtin English Gateway or Navitas General English classes for between one and six weeks.

Closed programs

Closed programs

Groups of students study together, focusing on a particular theme or academic content – such as engineering, physiotherapy, biodiversity and other fields.

Integrated programs

Integrated programs

Integrated programs offer open English language classes and a customised component where visiting students study a particular theme as a group.

In addition to the customised high-quality study programs, we offer a convenient package that includes airport transfers and accommodation. Packaged programs give you assurance that Curtin is providing comprehensive care of your students – from their arrival in Perth to their departure.

Sample Program Offerings

Curtin delivers a wide range of customised short courses designed for international students and partner institutions. Programs span English Language and Academic Study Skills, Environmental and Multicultural Studies, and professional fields such as Nursing and Physiotherapy.

Students can experience specialised areas like Mining Engineering (through familiarisation tours), STEM programs for high school groups, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Digital Marketing, and Business Studies.

These programs give international students a first-hand look at Australian professional practices and encourage the sharing of ideas across cultures. By connecting with Curtin students, they gain practical insights and a deeper appreciation of studying and working in Australia.

Adventure beyond the classroom

We can include excursions to iconic locations in the Perth region in your customised program. Excursions provide students with a break from classroom learning and add value to their immersive cultural experience.  Locations may include:

Our programs span study areas across Curtin’s four faculties: Business and Law, Health Sciences, Humanities, and Science and Engineering.

We can tailor the content, length and schedule of your program to suit your group’s needs.

Curtin can establish a customised study program with workshops, guest speakers, visits to relevant industries and other immersive academic experiences.

Open programs

Students undertake English language learning, joining Curtin English Gateway or Navitas General English classes for between one and six weeks.

Students’ English level is assessed via an online test. Students with an equivalent IELTS below 5 study at Navitas, while those who achieve an equivalent IELTS score of 5 and above study at Curtin Perth.

This program ensures that students not only learn in a class appropriate for their English level, but also gives them a genuine international learning experience studying alongside students from a variety of countries.
