I have Irlen SyndromeScotopic Sensitivity Syndrome. Am I eligible for a Curtin Access Plan (CAP)?

UPDATED 24 MAR 2026 | 8:09AM

Students with Scotopic Sensitivity Syndrome/Irlen Syndrome can access a CAP by having an appropriately qualified health professional complete the Curtin University Health Professional Report.  Adjustments such as coloured paper, the ability to wear coloured glasses, and alternate lighting for exams may be provided.

If further adjustments are requested, AccessAbility Services will request evidence of an adult psychometric learning assessment conducted by a relevant professional, such as a psychologist, using reliable, valid and standardised tests.
