How can I organise my Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)?

UPDATED 09 JUN 2026 | 8:27AM

If you would like Curtin to arrange your Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), it will be purchased through our preferred provider, Medibank.

1. Make an OSHC payment

You can pay for your OSHC at the same time as your tuition fee deposit through Curtin E-Pay.

Ensure you enter the OSHC amount specified in your Curtin offer letter. The amount will depend on whether you are purchasing OSHC for yourself only or for additional dependants, such as your partner or children.

If your dependants are included on your student visa, they must also be included in your OSHC policy under couples or family cover. This ensures they remain compliant with OSHC requirements and are covered by the policy.

2. Provide your payment receipt

Curtin E-Pay will generate a receipt once payment has been made.

You must upload this receipt to your Applicant Portal as evidence of payment as part of the acceptance process.

Your OSHC details will be included on your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) for your visa application.

3. Receive your OSHC policy

Your Medibank OSHC policy will be processed once your payment has been received and your admission to Curtin University has been confirmed.

Arranging your own OSHC

Alternatively, you may arrange your own OSHC through one of the Department of Health-approved providers listed in the FAQs on this page.

You will need to contact your chosen provider directly. Once you have obtained your OSHC policy, upload your OSHC letter or statement of account to your Curtin Applicant Portal as part of your offer acceptance requirements.
