How can I organise my Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)?
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) is mandatory for all students studying on a student visa.
As part of your application, you will need to indicate whether you would like Curtin to include the OSHC rate quote on your Offer letter or whether you will arrange your own OSHC.
Your offer will reflect the option you select.
If you would like Curtin to arrange your OSHC
If you choose to have Curtin arrange your OSHC, it will be purchased through Curtin’s preferred provider, Medibank. More information can be found here.
The OSHC amount will be included in your offer based on the cover required for you and any eligible dependants.
Once you accept your offer, you can make your payment directly through the Applicant Portal. The payment amount will reflect the OSHC option included in your offer.
Your Medibank OSHC policy will be processed once your payment has been received and your admission to Curtin University has been confirmed. Your OSHC details will be included on your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) for your visa application.

If you choose to arrange your own OSHC
As you have indicated in your application that you will arrange your own Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), you are responsible for obtaining and maintaining valid OSHC with an approved Australian health insurance provider.
Your OSHC must cover the full duration of your visa and meet the required period specified in the OSHC section of your offer. Evidence of valid OSHC must be provided before your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) can be issued.
Once you have obtained your OSHC policy, upload your OSHC policy to the Applicant Portal as part of your offer acceptance requirements.
Important: If your dependants are included on your student visa, they must also be covered by your OSHC policy under the appropriate couples or family cover.
