Certain courses allow you to choose a major and in some cases a double major. A major is usually 200 credit points (8 units) that are a part of your course structure, however this will vary depending on your course. You should refer to the Curtin Handbook for information on your course structure and available majors.
Some courses will have more or less units within a major.
A double major will allow a student to complete study in those two separate areas under the same award.
Please note: not all courses are available as a double major and a double major is different to a double degree.
