Psychological intervention framework for parents of neurodivergent adolescents
The project
A PhD student at Curtin is developing a psychological intervention framework for parents of adolescents (aged 12 to 18 years) with ADHD and/or autism in addition to mental health concerns such as depression and/or anxiety. The study aims to understand the gaps in support and inform the development of a framework for psychological interventions.
The involvement opportunity
The researcher would like to form a Community Advisory Group (CAG) for the study, involving 3 to 4 parents or carers of adolescents (aged 12 to 18 years). CAG activities may include:
- Providing a lived experience lens to the study
- Advising on recruitment strategies
- Giving feedback on interview and survey questions
- Communicating findings with relevant networks
