Our Indigenous Peer Academic Mentors are available in the Whadjuk Malayin Miya room during semester. They can yarn with you about how uni is going and share advice and tips that have helped them succeed in their studies. They’ll also help you connect with other services available in the Library and across Curtin.
No need to book, just drop in and see either of our mentors during their available times (see below).
I am a Nyoongar yorga, of Bibbulman and Yued descent, living on Wadjuk Boodjar. I was a mature age student when I started a Bachelor of Science (Environmental Science) in 2020. I am currently also working in the Science and Engineering faculty, managing the Women in STEM program. I understand the difficulties of navigating uni and am here to support you on your journey through Curtin.
I’ll be available in the Indigenous Cultural room on Wednesdays 1–4 pm, and Fridays 9am–12pm.
