Notice of Election

TWO GRADUATES TO THE UNIVERSITY COUNCIL
Curtin University Act 1966 (WA)

Section 9(1)(f) of the Act provides that the membership of Council shall include “2 persons who are graduates of the University and who are elected by the graduates of the University in the manner prescribed by Statute.

Following the call for nominations for the election of two (2) graduates to the University Council, 36 valid nominations were received by the close of nominations on Wednesday, 31 January 2024.

An election will therefore be conducted to determine which candidates will be elected as the graduates to the University Council.  All graduates who validly registered on the electoral roll before the closing date of Thursday, 8 February 2024 are eligible to vote.

The election will be conducted in accordance with Statute No. 5 – Election of Council Members (the “Statute”).

A graduate member of Council may be eligible for remuneration payments as determined by the Salary and Allowances Tribunal.
