Election of a Head of School or Deputy Head of School to the Academic Board

Notice of Election

HEAD OF SCHOOL OR DEPUTY HEAD OF SCHOOL TO THE ACADEMIC BOARD FROM THE FACULTY OF BUSINESS AND LAW

Following the call for nominations, which closed on Friday, 23 February 2024, multiple valid nominations were received.

An election will therefore be conducted to determine which candidate from the Faculty of Business and Law will be elected as a member of the Academic Board, and which candidate will be elected as a deputy.

The Academic Board is a committee of the University Council and is responsible to the University Council for helping to ensure that the academic quality, integrity and standards of the University’s operations as an academic institution align with the Higher Education Standards Framework. 

The Board exercises leadership and has a major role in promoting and communicating academic values, standards, and quality enhancement throughout the University.  It has three main functions and responsibilities:

Elected academic members of staff from the faculties are a vital part of Academic Board.
