Settling into a new life in a foreign land is a journey of discovery, both of the surroundings and oneself. Recognizing this, the Faculty of Business and Law recently held a field trip for its new international students to Caversham Wildlife Park last Friday.

Beyond introducing them to the wonders of Australian wildlife, the trip was a unique opportunity for students to share their diverse cultural backgrounds, forge new friendships, and enhance their sense of belonging to the Faculty and University. This sense of community was further enriched by a visit to the Margaret River Chocolate Factory, adding a touch of sweetness to the day’s adventure.

This enriching experience forms part of a comprehensive International Student Immersion program, generously sponsored by Bupa Insurance.

Register for the upcoming Bilya Koort Boodja day trip

As the journey continues, the next experience is a day trip to Bilya Koort Boodja, Northam, on 6 September 2023. Here, students will engage in the art of Elder storytelling and Dot Painting, all while deepening their connection to the Indigenous heritage of the region.

With limited spots available, interested international students from the Faculty of Business and Law are encouraged to secure their place by contacting FBLEngagement@curtin.edu.au.
