If you’re planning to study at Curtin University or Curtin College, your English courses can be packaged with your chosen undergraduate, postgraduate, or diploma program to streamline your student visa application and get you to university in one easy path.

We have also introduced an English Language Bridging course that is taught exclusively online. This online course can be taken by students who are planning their pathway to Curtin, but also by international students who want to improve their English communication skills for general academic purposes.

English Language Bridging is available to study online from the comfort of your home. Our online classes offer flexibility to study full-time or part-time from anywhere in the world. You’ll have ‘live’ classes to interact with your teacher and classmates as you would face-to-face, with 10 hours per week for full-time and 5 hours per week for part-time students. You’ll also require approximately 10 hours of self paced learning per week.

To determine the right pathway for you, we will use your English proficiency test scores. We accept: International English Language Testing System (IELTS), Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), Pearson Test of English (PTE), Linguaskill and other valid English language tests.

If you are unsure of your English skill level, we can provide a free online placement test, known as Password, to assess your current level of English and then to plan your pathway. This can be done through a Curtin registered agent or partner.
