The Curtin Counselling and Wellbeing Advice team have launched a new online self-help resource centre!

If you have noticed yourself or someone you know is feeling a bit down, stressed, had a personal issue for a while, or if you just want to learn more about psychology, visit the new self-help resource centre.

Prevention is always better than intervention. Gaining insight about where your mind might be at and learning strategies to look after yourself are vital steps to preventing mental health issues.

The new centre is an evolving space that aims to define a variety of mental health, neurodiversity and wellbeing topics, and direct you to the relevant services at Curtin, in your wider community and online.

The current topics include:

  • Addiction
  • ADHD
  • The autism spectrum
  • Chronic illness
  • Concerned about someone else?
  • Depression
  • Grief and loss
  • Mindfulness
  • Perfectionism
  • Relationship issues
  • Stress and anxiety

We highly regard the opinions of our students and want this space to capture a wide range of issues faced by students. If you have any feedback or ideas for topics, please fill out the feedback form at the bottom of the Psychological and Counselling services webpage.

Please note: these resource pages do not replace any clinical intervention by a registered mental health professional. If you are struggling and need someone to talk to, make an appointment with one of our counsellors or attend our free group programs.

You can access the online wellbeing resources centre here.
