New semester, fresh routine and that familiar promise to be more active? We’ve got you.

Whether you’re into gym sessions, social sport, or trying a brand-new activity, Curtin Sport & Recreation makes it easy to move more, feel good, and have fun at Curtin Stadium!

Read below to discover your fit, or jump ahead to the program that interests you:

1. Train at the Fitness Centre

You might not know, but there’s a 900 sqm fully equipped fitness centre right inside Curtin Stadium. The Curtin Stadium Fitness Centre is one of the easiest ways for students to stay active and smash their fitness goals.

Choose from gym-only or all-access memberships with group fitness classes included.

Semester Saver Pass

Enjoy the huge savings this O-Week with the Semester Saver Pass:

    Semester 1 (18 weeks) from $110
    Semester 1 & 2 (40 weeks ) from $240

That’s about the price of a coffee a week! And the pass includes:

    Unlimited standard group fitness classes
    A complimentary fitness appraisal every 3 months (including a body composition scan and personalised training program)

2. Compete in Intra-Mural Sport

Intra-mural sport is all about friendly competition, meeting new people, and staying active – no experience needed.

Challenge other faculties

Show your faculty pride and compete for points, glory, and the Alan Barblett Shield Wednesdays from 12pm to 2pm.

Represent your Residence

Living on campus? Represent your residence in FREE sports games at Curtin Stadium.
It all kicks off with the Residence Games in O-Week (Thursday, 12 February | 4–6 pm)

Weekly games run every Thursday:

    Games: 1–3 pm
    Social event: 3–4 pm

3. Start with Beginner Programs

Curtin Experiences are 5-week beginner programs run by Curtin’s affiliated sport clubs and designed especially for students who are new to sport or returning after a break.

Huge student discount: Curtin students receive 75% off, paying just $18.75 for the full 5-week program. That’s less than $4 a week!

Semester 1 – Block 1 Experiences on offer

These programs are the perfect way to build skills, confidence, and friendships before progressing into club training or ongoing participation.

Discover and Do

These programs, including Water Safety and Learn to Ride, are designed for students who may be building confidence and foundational skills for the first time.

Led by expert instructors, these programs are delivered in a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment. Pay as little as $20 to participate in a Discover and Do program.

4. Play for free with FreePlay

Take a study break and get moving. Enjoy free court hire during teaching week- equipment included. Just check the FreePlay schedule, grab your friends, and sign in at reception for your chance to win aweekly prize.

5. Join a Sporting Club

Curtin-affiliated clubs compete in local competitions and are recognised by their sporting bodies. These clubs give students access to competitive sport opportunities that extend beyond campus, supported through a strategic partnership with Curtin.

6. Train with Carnaby Crew

Carnaby Crew is your pathway into university sport, designed to help you build confidence, develop skills, and explore opportunities to represent Curtin University in the inter-varsity sporting scene.

Run in the mornings during the semester, Carnaby Crew offers a relaxed, welcoming training environment with experienced coaches on hand to support and guide you – while still keeping things casual and flexible. Open to all experience levels.

7. Get Social with Social Sport

Social Sport is a structured evening competition open to the entire Curtin community. Registrations may be closed, but teams are always looking for players. Jump into the Social Sport Facebook group to find a team or post your interest.
