WA School of Mines launches Industry Buddy Program with mining mentors

On Thursday 3 August, the Western Australian School of Mines (WASM) Industry Buddy Program kicked off with a launch party.

The program brings together 20 students from various countries including China, India, Indonesia, and Nepal, who are interested in pursuing careers in the mining industry.

The Industry Buddy Program is designed to match students with a seasoned industry partner who can offer guidance and mentorship throughout their professional development and life in Kalgoorlie.

With access to this valuable resource, students will be able to ask questions, gain advice, and make valuable connections in the mining industry.

The launch party was a great success, with students connecting with their new industry partners and celebrating the start of this exciting program.
