At the start of November, the school welcomed experienced researcher Associate Professor Anne-Marie Hill.

Anne-Marie-Hill-MAINAssociate Professor Hill undertook her PhD under the primary supervision of Professor Terry Haines from Monash University, conducting a large randomised trial that established the effectiveness of a supported education program for older hospitalised patients in reducing falls while in hospital.  She has subsequently received a NHMRC Early Career Research Fellowship, led a substantial component of a large CTN component focussing on several project in the healthy ageing area, and is now implementing the first phases of activity for an NHMRC project grant she commenced at the start of 2016, titled “Providing innovative patient education to prevent falls after hospital discharge -a randomised controlled trial”.

Anne-Marie comes to Curtin from The University of Notre Dame.
