Major PageUp data breach. Here’s what students need to know.

PageUp, a recruitment service provider to major Australian organisations has indicated that personal details of Australians may have been compromised in a recent data breach.

PageUp released a full statement on their website about the breach, which can be found here.

Please note, Curtin University does not use PageUp services and our data is unaffected.

How will this affect you?

If you’ve recently applied for a position or been involved with the recruitment processes with an organisation using PageUp’s services, there’s a possibility that your personal information may have been compromised.

If you have provided personal information to an organisation using PageUp’s services, we recommend:

  • Monitoring PageUp’s website for updates into the data breach.
  • Contacting PageUp at security-enquiries@pageuppeople.com if you believe you have provided information to an affected organisation using PageUp’s services.
  • Change the password to any organisations’ job site, which has used PageUp’s services.
  • Change the password to any email account associated with an organisation using PageUp’s services.
