The Faculty of Science and Engineering is a place where you can apply your studies to real-world industry challenges. It is involved in a variety of high-impact research initiatives, including the Murchison Widefield Array and the Square Kilometre Array.

The purpose-built learning facilities, including the $116 million Resources and Chemistry Precinct, are sophisticated, stimulating and creative learning environments that offer problem-based learning, group collaboration and the opportunity to share your ideas with industry.

Through our courses, you’ll have the opportunity to put the concepts you learn in the classroom into practice. Together, this enables you to learn key field skills, engage with local industry and undertake on-the-ground research.

We encourage you to start building your industry network before you graduate. Many courses are designed to include industry advisory panels, site visits and industry guest lecturers to give you exposure to some of the industry’s top employers.

Our Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) is recognised by Engineers Australia, which not only ensures our program meets international benchmarks such as the Washington Accord, but also recognises our graduates as having the skills to practice as a professional engineer.
