You may notice some new cameras located in learning spaces around the Curtin Bentley Campus.

Curtin has partnered with Hitachi to optimise the utilisation of learning spaces at the Bentley Campus using new people counting technology. This initiative is in line with Curtin’s strategy to build a Smart Campus.

This year, people counting cameras have been installed in 242 learning spaces across Bentley Campus. From semester one 2018, the cameras will begin capturing room utilisation data, which will be used to better understand room demand and time of use. The cameras will not identify individuals.
