Curtin’s Faculty of Health Sciences and University Counselling Services are urging Curtin students who self identify as having a mental health problem to take part in an online survey throughout May.

Students who complete the survey will provide valuable feedback and  information to staff to help improve university life and to obtain a better understanding of student experiences whilst studying at Curtin.

Associate Professor Wynaden, who is part of the group, said those struggling with mental health problems could face difficulties in regard to attendance, time management, experience feelings of isolation or may have experienced stigma resulting from their problems.

‘We’re trying to find out what exactly these students are finding hard and struggling with, so we can then suggest support structures be put in place to help them out.’

Curtin students who wish to undertake the confidential survey should login to OASIS and complete the survey from there.
