Abacus labs
The Abacus labs are Open Access Computer Labs that you can use 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There are three labs in the Perth campus in buildings 303, 408 and 501 (see campus map). Each computer contains a wide range of software including Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud. To access the labs after hours you’ll need to swipe your ID card at the sensor next to each door.
Each Abacus Lab has an IT Helpdesk with staff who are happy to assist you with any of your IT related questions, ranging from basic device troubleshooting to Wi-Fi connectivity, printing, OASIS and Blackboard.
All staff and students are welcome to use these facilities. We ask that everyone considers and respects the following rules:
- No food or drink in the lab (water is allowed).
- Noise is to be kept to a minimum to respect others who may be studying.
- You cannot leave your computer unattended for more than 15 minutes. After 15 minutes your belongings will be removed, and the computer will be logged off.
- Please remove all personal belongings and waste when you have finished using the Abacus facilities.
