This is a call for nominations for the appointment of an enrolled student to the Kalgoorlie Campus Council.

Curtin University Act 1966 (WA)

Term of office commences from 1 January 2026 and concludes on 31 December 2026

The Kalgoorlie Campus Council is established under the Curtin University Act 1966 (‘the Act’) and has certain governance functions in respect of the Kalgoorlie Campus.

Section 21M(1)(h) of the Act provides that the Kalgoorlie Campus Council shall include “an enrolled student of the Kalgoorlie Campus and who is appointed by the Council of the University” for a term of office of one year.

The term of office of the current student member of the Kalgoorlie Campus Council, Nilmer Chavarri, expires on 31 December 2025. The term of office for a newly appointed enrolled student to the Kalgoorlie Campus Council will commence on 1 January 2026 and conclude on 31 December 2026.
