The Australian Government Department of Education (DoE) has updated the FEE-HELP application process. Students now begin their FEE-HELP request in eStudent, but will complete and submit the official eCAF directly through the DoE’s online system.

New FEE-HELP eCAF Application Process

Step 1: Through eStudent

  1. Log in to eStudent
    Use your student ID and password to access your eStudent portal.
  2. Open “My eCAFs”
  3. Select My eCAFs from the main menu
  4. Create a new eCAF
  5. Find the course you want to apply for FEE-HELP for and click Create.
  6. Choose your form type
  7. Select “FEE-HELP Loan Assistance Request”
  8. Complete the consent form
  9. Fill out and submit the consent form authorising the university to share your date of birth, gender, residential address, and citizenship details with the Department of Education (DoE).

Step 2: Through the Department of Education (DoE)

  1. Check your email
    The DoE will send you an email containing a link and login details for their eCAF system.
  2. Submit your eCAF online
  3. Follow the link, log in to the DoE portal, complete your FEE-HELP eCAF, and review your details carefully before submitting.
