Specialisation overview
In this introduction to advertising design, you will research and explore a number of different creative strategies, then apply these to solve advertising briefs across a broad range of media.
You will also analyse existing advertising campaigns through looking at branding, campaigning, images, art direction and copywriting, and how the different elements contribute to the campaign as a whole.
Through a series of practical design projects and exercises held within a digital environment, you’ll be introduced to industry standard design technologies and software. You’ll also explore the fundamental principles of form and function in typographic design.
Most Curtin courses allow you to choose a specialisation from any academic area. Humanities specialisations, like this one, can give a useful balance to a course from business, law, science, engineering or health disciplines. Learn more about specialisations.
