What you'll learn

  • articulate and apply concepts, principles and best practices related to public sector administration
  • analyse and develop strategies to improve the public sector administration
  • synthesise ideas from international and regional public service practices and critically review the public service within the local context
  • devise and communicate public policy strategies to members of the public as well as persons in decision making capacity
  • apply statistical software package to conduct research project
  • evaluate performance of self and a group of team against recent developments in public service administration
  • compare and contrast public service practices in regional and international jurisdiction
  • identify impact of ethics, social justice guidelines on the administration of public service in the local context
  • establish and sustain cooperative team relationship in group assignments and projects
