Curtin’s First Year Advisors are here to help you get the most out of your university experience.
Based in your Faculty, you can get advice about your studies, learn how to navigate through Curtin systems and processes, and find out how to get support for your wellbeing.
Our First Year Advisors can:
- Prepare you for your studies at Curtin
- Help you navigate through university life and settling into your studies
- Provide you with 1-on-1 support by appointments or drop ins
- Check-in with you through calls or emails throughout your first year
- Provide tailored support and advice
- Help create your First Year plan and goals
- Assist with finding and applying for scholarships
- Provide useful resources and advice to help you succeed at Curtin
First Year Advisors are your go-to people for any questions or support, even if you’re unsure about what to ask!
Meet your advisors
Anika
Uni can be challenging, I know that first-hand, it took me 7 years and three different universities to complete my undergrad degree. That’s why I’m so passionate about helping students navigate their first year. I’m also a qualified Careers Counsellor who loves coffee, gossip, podcasts and walking my chocolate lab. Come see me!
Georgia
My unique upbringing and life experiences have given me the opportunity to join a team that like me, is passionate about seeing students succeed, and supporting those who are on their academic journey. In my free time, you’ll find me in the Gulag on Warzone, or being delusional on Sims 4 with my 3 husbands and self-built mansion.
Natasha
I love to study and with two undergraduate and two postgraduate degrees I have learned what it takes to succeed at university. I completed my last degree at Curtin in 2021 so I know where all the best food is. Come and chat and tell me what TV you like to binge, the good and the bad (especially the bad).
