Science and Engineering Indigenous engagement

The Indigenous Support Officer supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in the Faculty of Science and Engineering throughout their studies

Kaya!

Kaya!

I’m Indiana Rutter, born in rural WA on Minang Country, with strong, proud, ancestral connections to the Wirlomin Wudjari people and my Scottish ancestry. I’m both a student and staff member here at Curtin, and study a Bachelor of Advanced Science, majoring in Coastal and Marine Science.

I’m here to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students studying in Science and Engineering. Whether that’s through financial and material support, connecting you with tutors and mentors, or just being someone you can have a yarn with when things get tough, I can be your first point of call. I also run regular social events for Mob in our faculty, so keep an eye on your emails!
