CALD Fathering Study Reference Group
The project
The Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Fathering Study aims to better understand the experiences, roles, and needs of fathers from CALD backgrounds in Western Australia. The goal is to improve programs and support services for fathers and families in our community.
The involvement opportunity
The CALD Fathering Study is putting together a Cultural Reference Group, made up of four fathers who will work with the research team to make sure the study is respectful, relevant, and culturally appropriate.
The group will help to:
- Review study materials
- Share information about the study
- Provide feedback on findings
- Help develop plain language summaries
- Suggest ideas for future research
Skills and experience
To join the Reference Group, you need to be:
- A father of a child under the age of 5
- Identify as someone from a Culturally and Linguistic Diverse community
Ideally, you will reside within the City of Gosnells, however expressions of interest are welcome form those who do not live in this area.
Other information
5 meetings will be held throughout the year. Each meeting will be for 2 hours.
The meetings will be held online via MS Teams
An honorarium of $37.50/hour will be offered
