Project Overview
Assessment 2030 is transforming teaching and learning practices at Curtin University. Working with our educators, we are developing new ways for students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills that incorporate emerging technologies while maintaining academic standards.
Our work supports the Curtin 2030 Strategic Plan and our Learning & Teaching Strategy by helping students develop ethical approaches to technology use and the adaptable thinking skills needed for lifelong learning.
Rethinking assessment at Curtin
We recognise that assessment is more than just a measure of achievement—it’s an essential part of the learning journey. Guided by our Two-Lane Approach, we’re working together with students, educators, and industry partners to thoughtfully shape assessment practices that are relevant, fair, and future focused. This approach provides a comprehensive framework that balances the need for rigorous quality standards with opportunities for students to engage with the technologies that will shape their working lives.
Through innovation, collaboration, and a student-centred approach, we’re building the future of education.
Explore what each lane offers and how they work together to support academic integrity, real-world expertise, and flexibility for the future.
