Overview
Overview
Our modern society and economy depend on space systems for critical services such as navigation, weather forecasting, communications, understanding our natural environment, and ensuring a safe and secure future for all.
In this specialisation you will develop sound fundamental knowledge in the design of spacecraft and development of space missions. You’ll concept a space mission and draw on the knowledge and capabilities you’ve acquired in your major to design, build and test your own CubeSat subsystem within a small multidisciplinary team.
You'll employ systems engineering principles to tackle complex problems and develop solutions that are fit for purpose. You’ll also develop your project management skills through practical assessments.
The transferable skills and knowledge that you’ll develop in this specialisation can be applied in technical industries that require teams to work together to solve complex problems. Industry examples include aerospace, defence, shipbuilding, resources and infrastructure.
