In this major, you'll gain the skills to create engaging and immersive digital experiences using a variety of software and mediums. You’ll learn the fundamentals, theory, and industry best practices for designing interactivity, usability, visual design, emotional design, and user interface principles across different sectors.
You’ll also develop skills in designing social and playful interactive experiences. Throughout the course you’ll have access to state-of-the-art facilities including digital labs, high-end media production studios with real-time rendering capabilities, advanced VR/AR equipment and high-performing computing systems with cutting-edge graphics.
In your final year, you’ll have the opportunity to apply your skills in a practical setting. You could find yourself collaborating with researchers or industry members on real-world challenges or completing internships with local and international studios and production companies, giving you valuable professional experience before you graduate.
This major is part of the Bachelor of Digital Creative Industries. You can broaden your expertise with interdisciplinary electives and specialisations or combine this major with Animation, Visual Effects and Virtual Production or Game Design and Art.
