Step into the world of interactive storytelling and digital production by combining Game Design and Art with Animation, Visual Effects and Virtual Production. This double major gives you the chance to master different sides of creative content production – from building immersive game environments and characters to bringing cinematic worlds to life with animation and visual effects.
You’ll learn how to design, model and animate digital assets, craft engaging game levels and experiences, and use cutting-edge techniques in motion design, compositing and virtual production. Along the way, you’ll explore the cultural and creative foundations that shape these industries, ensuring you graduate with both the technical skills and critical insight to create work that is innovative, meaningful and industry-ready.
At Curtin, you’ll have access to world-class studios and technology, including real-time rendering facilities, advanced motion capture and VR/AR equipment, and our AGDX animation studio. These spaces are designed to mirror professional environments, giving you the opportunity to work with industry-standard tools, collaborate with peers across disciplines, and build a portfolio that will prepare you for roles in the global creative industries.
