Join Gallery Education Coordinator Mel Macaulay for a hands-on school holiday workshop inspired by Regional Arts Triennial – Radical Futures, in which regional artists explore collective imagination, ecological responsibility, community resilience and sustainable futures.
In this workshop, young makers will work together to create a collaborative sustainable treehouse, using only upcycled and reclaimed materials. They are invited to imagine new possibilities for how we live, create and care for the world around us.
Over the session, participants will transform discarded materials into a shared architectural artwork. Cardboard boxes, fabric, packaging, found objects and other rescued materials will become walls, windows, decorations and unexpected inventions, as children explore how they can make something extraordinary from what already exists.
