Curtin University Student Learning
John Curtin Gallery supports Curtin’s teaching and learning programs by connecting exhibition themes, contemporary artistic practice and the Carrolup Art Collection across a range of disciplines.
Curtin students can engage with the Gallery through guided tours and tailored learning experiences developed in collaboration with academic staff. Exhibition themes and Carrolup artworks can be thoughtfully integrated into new and existing units, giving students opportunities to explore concepts through critical thinking, visual and cultural perspectives, theory and practice, and engaging with ideas beyond the classroom.
Throughout the semester, JCG offers opportunities for students to explore themes including Country, culture, identity, history, place, sustainability, creativity and contemporary practice. To find out more, contact Mel Macaulay, Gallery Education Program Coordinator, at JCGEducation@curtin.edu.au.
