School Programs & Excursions

John Curtin Gallery presents three exhibition seasons each year, creating varied opportunities for schools to connect classroom learning with contemporary art, First Nations perspectives, storytelling and creative practice. Each season offers a new opportunity for students to explore ideas, encounter different perspectives and engage with artworks in meaningful ways. School visits can be tailored to suit primary and secondary students, curriculum areas and specific learning goals.

John Curtin Gallery offers learning programs and gallery visits for primary and secondary students across Western Australia. Our school programs connect exhibitions, contemporary art, First Nations perspectives and the Carrolup Art Collection with classroom learning and the WA Curriculum.

School visits can be customised to include guided exhibition tours, hands-on art workshops, self-guided experiences and programs developed in collaboration with teachers. Our programs support learning across Visual Arts, HASS and English, and can be adapted for different year levels and learning goals.
