Designer reviewing animations

Undergraduate design and digital creative industries

Right now, the world needs creatives, artists and problem-solvers to show us new perspectives. Are you ready to create meaningful work that inspires people and makes a lasting impact?

A designer can bring innovative ideas to life, an animator can connect people all around the world, and a photographer can capture stories of communities and cultures we may not be aware of.

Great design and digital experiences shape the way we live – and the most powerful ones transform it.

As a professional in the design and digital creative industries, your career will help people connect, see differently and gain new understandings.

Whether your goal is to create immersive digital worlds, head-turning advertising, captivating games, or something entirely new, you’ll combine creativity and technical skill to produce work that makes an impact.

A portrait image of the testimonial author

“For me, art has always been more than just personal expression, but as a form of communal expression for a cultural moment. Whenever there’s change, art and design are at the forefront of that movement. And that inspired me to use the art and design skills that I learned at Curtin for activism and to be a voice for those whose voices are unheard.

Through the John Curtin Undergraduate Scholarship, I had the opportunity to volunteer for three months in Uganda. This involved volunteering as a media consultant, shooting documentaries and taking photos to raise funds and awareness for an international NGO. This work experience acted as the springboard for my career in humanitarian media work by building a portfolio which increased my employability in this industry.”
