From Monday 29 September 2025, northbound traffic on Hayman Road will be closed between the Jarrah Road intersection and Curtin Bus Station.
This closure allows for construction of a new intersection near Curtin Bus Station as part of the B316 Sciences development. When complete in September 2026, it will provide a more direct entry point to campus from the east.

During the works:
- Northbound vehicles will be redirected via Manning Road and Jarrah Road onto Kent Street.
- Southbound vehicles may face delays due to reduced speed limits and increased bus traffic.
- Some congestion is possible on Manning Road, Jarrah Road, Kent Street and University Boulevard. Consider allowing extra travel time.
- Transperth buses will divert via Adie Court. Services are expected to continue without delays following close consultation with the Public Transport Authority.
- Curtin Access Bus Service (CABS) Bentley route will also travel via Adie Court on the return trip to Curtin Bus Station. Passengers travelling southbound can still be picked up and dropped off along Hayman Road.
- Pedestrians, particularly those travelling between campus and Vickery House, should use designated crossings and follow onsite signage.
Traffic conditions on Hayman Road will change as the project progresses. We’ll keep you informed of any changes that may affect your travel.
