Properties, Facilities & Development will be testing new outdoor speakers across campus to ensure they are ready for public broadcasts when required.
When:
7 September to 2 October
Monday to Friday, 6am–8am
Students and staff on campus during these early morning hours may hear speaker noise for up to five minutes at a time, with testing taking place in different areas across campus. Testing may also continue on weekends.
The anticipated sound level during testing will be approximately 70–85 dB(A), which can range from the volume of a busy office conversation to a lawnmower or noisy factory environment.
The testing is part of preparations to ensure the outdoor speaker system is working effectively when needed.
