Curtin University continues to be ranked number one in Western Australia across several categories in the 2026 Good Universities Guide (GUG), including being named the State’s best for full-time undergraduate employment for the seventh consecutive year.

Other accolades include having the highest levels of qualified teaching staff in WA and being ranked number one for student to teacher ratio out of any public WA university.

Curtin was also the best performing university in the State for starting undergraduate salary – a category which saw GUG award a prestigious five-star rating for being in the top 20 per cent nationally.

For the first time, the Guide awarded Curtin five stars for postgraduate learning resources, showing the University is a sought-after destination for those looking to further their careers.

Nationally, Curtin was number one in the country for undergraduates in Agriculture and Environmental Studies and Pharmacy finding full-time employment, while it was also ranked the best university in Australia in the learning resources in postgraduate Creative Arts and student support in postgraduate Psychology categories.

Curtin University Vice-Chancellor Professor Harlene Hayne said the results reinforced the University’s focus on delivering an outstanding student experience to prepare graduates for meaningful careers and lifelong success.

“These results reflect Curtin’s continued commitment to providing our students with a world-class education, equipping them with the skills, confidence and knowledge to thrive,” Professor Hayne said.
