Use of the Library
We have a range of different areas and equipment across our three Library locations on the Perth campus to support different study styles and preferences. All Library clients are required to adhere to and accept the responsibilities of acceptable use and behaviour as outlined in the Library Rules.
If you notice someone behaving inappropriately you may respectfully tell them they are disrupting you. Library users may contact Library staff if they are concerned by any inappropriate behaviour.

Bookable study spaces
Study rooms and large tables are available to be booked in Library Central and Library 201 by groups or individuals. You can make a booking for these spaces online.
Whiteboard marker kits can also be loaned from Library Central and Library 201 for use in these spaces.

Individual study space
Library 418 is a designated quiet individual study zone. It is located on Level 5 of Building 418.

Photocopying and printing
Printing, copying and scanning facilities are available at all three Library locations, with electric staplers also available for use. Information about print services can be found here.

PCs, Macs & laptops
PCs are available in all three of our Curtin Perth libraries. Apple iMacs are available in Library 418 and Library 201. Laptops are available for loan from Library Central for use in all our Library spaces. To log on to these devices, use your student or staff ID and password.

Postgraduate Research Students’ Room
If you are a postgraduate student, or a VC List student looking for a quiet space to study in the Library, simply use your Curtin ID card to access the room. It is located on Level 4 of Library 201.

Makerspace
The Curtin Library Makerspace is a creative learning environment that fosters exploration, innovation and play through making. The Makerspace is located on level 1 of Library 201. It has a range of tools, software, equipment and materials that can be used in the space.

Accessing our locations
All three Library locations are accessible by wheelchair and contain wide lifts for access between levels. If you are not able to come to campus, services can be individually tailored to assist with access to Library materials and equipment.
Equity room at Library Central
The Equity Room aims to provide a quiet area for individual study, containing specialised facilities including: a Merlin HD Magnifier, JAWS screen reader program, ZoomText software and ergonomic furniture and accessories.
The room is available for use by registration only with AccessAbility Services.
Parenting and rest room
The parenting and rest room is located in Library 201, with baby change facilities available.
