Browse and loan for study
Following the Library refurbishment in 2023, the bulk of our hard-copy books were available only by request. We spent time consolidating and shelving the collection in a mightily impressive compactus (space-saving shelves). When the dust settled, postgraduate students and staff were allowed to browse the shelves. The trial was a success so we’ve extended access to students. You’re welcome to browse to your heart’s content or your assignment’s parameters.

Read and Return for fun
The Read and Return collection offers recreational reading on most floors of the Library. Books are sorted by genre and located on open bookshelves, identified with a cheerful Read and Return sticker. They include fiction and non-fiction, graphic novels, self-help, LGBTQIA+ and fantasy. Take a break from study. There’s no need to loan the book, we trust you. Just pick one, take it and read it anywhere – in the Library, at home, in a hammock or a hot-air balloon. When you’ve finished, simply return the book to its friends on the shelf. Repeat as many times as you like.
