Reading time: 2 minutes
Ask any international student who’s been at Curtin for a while, and they’ll tell you the same thing: Café Connect is where everything starts. It’s where you meet your first friends, learn the things no one tells you about studying in Australia, and discover the support services that make uni life feel a little easier.
Café Connect runs every Tuesday during Semester One and offers FREE snacks, drinks and a 10-minute talk on topics that matter when you’re far from home. From visa essentials and financial safety to careers, wellbeing and getting the most out of your life in Perth. But what keeps students coming back is the atmosphere: relaxed, friendly and filled with people who understand what it’s like to start fresh in a new country.
After each talk, students stay to chat, play games and join in activities that help you build community without any pressure. Whether you arrived in Perth last week or last year, Café Connect is a simple way to meet people and feel grounded in the Curtin experience.
