Are you studying online or remotely and volunteering in your local community? Curtin Volunteers! (CV!) has launched a new initiative to recognise and celebrate the contributions of students who volunteer with organisations not already partnered with CV!.
This means if you’re helping out at your local sporting club, supporting a community event, assisting your surf lifesaving club, or even volunteering online for a registered not-for-profit, your efforts can now be logged and recognised.
To qualify, your volunteering must:
- Be with a registered not-for-profit organisation
- Take place in Australia
- Be formal in nature (e.g. application, briefing, insurance cover, clear role description)
- Be completed while enrolled in at least one online unit at Curtin
Important to note:
- Only hours completed in the current semester can be logged
- Travel time and long breaks (over 20 minutes) can’t be included
- Hours must be logged each time you volunteer (not in bulk), with a timesheet uploaded
- A supervisor contact is required to verify your hours
- Falsifying hours may result in disciplinary action
