Curtin has now introduced PayID as another option for students to pay their tuition fees. This update is part of our ongoing efforts to make payments faster, simpler, and more secure for everyone in our community.

What is PayID?

PayID is a simple, fast and surcharge-free way to send and receive money using a unique identifier like your mobile number, email, or ABN, instead of traditional BSB and account numbers. Payments made using PayID are processed instantly, so you receive confirmation straight away. This is a significant improvement on BPAY, which can take several days for payments to clear.

Why are we making this change?

Faster processing: PayID payments are received and cleared in real time, reducing delays in updating your student account.

No surcharge: Certain payment methods may incur a surcharge. No surcharges apply for payments via Pay ID.

No card required: PayID is a secure method that does not require you to enter card details.

Transition from BPAY: BPAY remains available for now, but we encourage students to use PayID as we gradually reduce BPAY payments.

What do you need to know?

  • PayID is now available as a surcharge-free payment option for tuition fees.
  • If you are paying a large amount, please check your bank’s daily transfer limit to avoid any issues.

What action do you need to take?

  • Look out for PayID as a payment option when paying your tuition fees.
  • Use PayID for faster processing and instant confirmation.
  • Adjust your bank transfer limits if necessary.
